Two Dads Ready to Jump Back into the Pool!

Two Dads Ready to Jump Back into the Pool!

July 24, 2024/in Infertility, Intended Parent/Surrogate Stories, Surrogacy /by Hope Surrogacy

Two Dads Ready to Jump Back into the Pool!

As a high school state champion in diving, Elliot learned that he loved to be active and competitive … two things he now shares with his partner, Myles, which seems fitting since they met ten years ago in New York City playing in the same rugby league. While they share these same traits, they also complement each other, with Elliot being more of an extrovert and Myles being more of a homebody. It seems like the perfect scenario for starting a family, and that’s exactly what happened late last year when, via a surrogate, Ford Jacob entered their lives, home, and hearts.

They’re now ready to dive back into the pool … the surrogacy pool, that is, as they would be over the moon to add another child to their family and make Ford a big brother!

Myles and Elliot feel a surrogate relationship should develop organically.

This certainly including participation in the pregnancy and perhaps continuing throughout their child’s life! They value open communication and would love to be as involved as possible before, during, and after the pregnancy. They also appreciate each person’s differences and expectations.

Their home is the center of many fun gatherings.

With a large family and even more friends, it’s no wonder their home is the center of many fun gatherings, especially around the Owl-Themed Christmas tree that Myles decks out each year, as he has a true gift for decorating. Add in an incredible meal to share that Elliot has whipped up, a nod to his generous nature, and you’ve got memories in the making. While they are currently living in Chicago, they will soon be making the trek back to New York City. With their willingness to get involved in volunteering, there is no doubt it will feel like home again in a heartbeat.

Travel, both domestically and internationally, is something they both embrace.

Last summer, they took an epic two-week trip to the East Coast, where Ford was showered with love from friends and family. London is always beckoning to Myles, but Italy, a dream destination for both of them, is on the shortlist to return to with their children!
But first, since they’ve gotten their feet wet, they know they want to make that splash again and add to their sweet family!
