Meet our Intended Parents: Andrea and James!

 

They are lovely intended parents living in Texas and they both have midwestern roots.

While living in Minnesota, they met in 2009 through mutual friends . She is originally from Cumberland, Wisconsin, and moved to Minneapolis to study Apparel Design at the University of Minnesota. James is from St. Paul, Minnesota, and attended college in Cape Cod, MA, to study theater. He moved back to MN and received a degree in IT.

Read their story:

We started dating in 2009 and we were married in 2013 at a beautiful destination wedding in Puerto Rico.

Two years into our marriage, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and after going through chemo and radiation, we decided we needed a change in scenery. I was offered a job in Dallas, Texas, and about six years ago, we moved. I am currently a Director of Trend and Design at Michaels, managing a team of 19 Designers. James works as an IT Engineer for Raytheon, an aerospace engineering company in Dallas.

We are currently a family of four:

Including our two chihuahua mixes, Olive & Stewie. We bought a house in 2020 in Grapevine, TX, to give our fur babies and us a yard! One of our favorite activities are being outside with our dogs.  We both also love to travel, cook, read, watch movies, and hang out with friends.
