Intended Parents

Why Hope Surrogacy?

We recognize it can be overwhelming to embark upon the choice of using a surrogate. As intended parents you undertake an enormous financial and emotional commitment when you allow someone to carry the most important thing in your life. You may have been through years of dashed hopes and fertility struggles before you find us.

When you trust us to help you embark upon this journey to parenthood, you can be confident that we are committed to helping you navigate all aspects of the surrogacy process.

We make it safe

We know that surrogacy process is a complex and personal journey. That’s why we require both parties to undergo a comprehensive mental health evaluation prior to the match and retain individual legal representation for which we will make referrals.

As a team, we are all engaged in your journey and available at a moment’s notice to respond to your questions and provide direction.

We make it hopeful

We find you a personalized match with a healthy, happy and fulfilled surrogate with Midwestern values, financial stability and her own loving family who is committed to helping people like you experience the joy of parenthood.

We want to ensure your child will grow up in a safe, stable and loving environment. Below are the basic criteria that we ask intended parents to meet in order to join our program:

  • Demonstrate medical need for surrogacy

  • Undergo mental health evaluation with our clinical psychologist prior to being matched with a surrogate

  • Pass criminal and financial background checks

  • Are under the age of 50

We know surrogacy is expensive, but it’s not out of reach. It’s important to us that you are well informed about this process. We will help you understand all of the cost variables in your surrogacy journey and we will provide you with a cost model to help you understand where your money is being spent.

Depending upon your circumstances, the total cost for surrogacy could range between $90,000 and $120,000 over the course of 15-18 months. It is important to understand that this money isn’t due all at once. If you want to hear from a parent’s perspective, click here to read our blog about the cost of surrogacy:

If you need a surrogate:

Our agency fee of $21,500 is an all-inclusive flat fee.  We have a $500 application fee. The remainder of the fees are paid in installments: $5,000 after completion of the psych consult and acceptance into Hope’s program; $10,000 when you meet your surrogate and agree to work together; and the final fee of $6,000 when pregnant.  In the unlikely event that you need to be matched with a different surrogate, Hope Surrogacy does not charge for a “re-match”.

Other costs to consider:

Medical fees: $25,000-$45,000
Surrogate’s expenses: $30,000-$40,000
Legal fees:  $10,000
