Jakub and Martin: excited to become dads!

Martin and Jakub, a European Couple who are Excited to Become Dads!

June 19, 2022/in Surrogacy /by Hope Surrogacy

Martin and Jakub, a European Couple who are Excited to Become Dads!

About us:

We, Martin and Jakub, are a same-sex couple in a long-term relationship (13 years) and married now for one year. The Czech Republic is where we are from, which is in the heart of Europe. We both lived and studied for several years in Prague before moving to Finland for our jobs.

We bought a house, and we are living in the country of a thousand lakes, northern lights, snow, reindeer, and of course the home of Santa Claus :) We both have Master’s degrees in Engineering and are fluent in English.  enjoy all kinds of sports, nature, and outdoor activities, but family and friends are the most valuable and important to us.

There is still one missing piece in our lives, and that is children. We long to be parents and experience all that it brings in raising kids – the joys as well as the worries :)

Our journey with Hope Surrogacy:

We have been thinking about having a family for a long time. As a same-sex couple, we have limited options to create a family. We considered different possibilities and finally decided to go through the surrogacy process in the US where we know surrogacy is safe. Our family and close friends fully support our decision to start our family through surrogacy.

We contacted Hope Surrogacy more than 3 years ago for the first time and met with them in March of 2020 in Madison. Everything started well, but unfortunately, COVID hit the world which made our journey more complicated. Until recently, we have been unable to travel back to the US because of the pandemic.

Our dream:

As Father’s Day approaches, we are dreaming that next year we will celebrate it with our child. We hope there is a loving person somewhere who would like to help us and make our dream come true.

We are looking forward to being matched and visiting the US again soon to meet a surrogate who is willing to help us and continue our journey to being parents.

Involvement throughout the pregnancy, traveling to the US to meet our surrogate, coming for the important 20-week ultrasound, and of course for the delivery, is something we are very excited to do. We hope our surrogate will continue to be a part of our lives long after the birth of the baby. We want our children to know where they come from and who helped them into this world.

Help Jakub and Martin, they are excited to become dads. Click the link if you are interested in learning how to become a surrogate!
